Privacy
Short version: what you put into the tools stays in your browser.
Your input
URL lists, sitemaps, robots.txt files and tables you paste, type or open are processed by JavaScript in your browser tab. They are not sent to this site's server or anyone else. Generated files, gzip archives and ZIP files are created on your device. The site's Content-Security-Policy only allows network connections back to this site and to Cloudflare's page-view counter described below.
Live checks
The sitemap validator has a “Check a live site” box. Only if you use it, it opens WebTraceCheck (webtracecheck.com) in a new tab with the address you typed in the link. WebTraceCheck is a separate site with its own privacy policy. Other links to outside sites are ordinary links.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies or cross-site tracking and never receives what you type, paste or drop into the tools. There are no ads, no trackers and no analytics of our own.
Stored on your device
- Your colour theme choice (light or dark), if you pick one, in your browser's local storage.
- When you press “Test it” in the robots.txt generator, the generated file is kept in session storage just long enough for the tester to open it, then removed.
No cookies are set. The hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages.
