How to use it

Paste the XML, or open the file you saved from https://your-site/sitemap.xml; gzipped files are unpacked in the browser. A URL sitemap gives one row per <url> with its lastmod, changefreq, priority and the number of images or hreflang alternates. A sitemap index lists its child sitemaps instead: open each one in a new tab, save it, and drop all of them here together to get one merged list.

When the XML is broken, the extractor still pulls out every <loc> it can find and tells you where the parser stopped, so the sitemap validator can help you fix it.

FAQ

Why can't it fetch the child sitemaps of an index?

Browsers do not let a page read files from another site unless that site allows it, and sitemaps rarely do. Opening each link yourself and dropping the saved files here works for any site.

What is in the CSV?

A header row and one row per URL: url, lastmod, changefreq and priority, plus image and alternate counts when the sitemap has them, and the source file when you opened several.

Can I paste a plain list of URLs?

Yes. Text that does not start with “<” is read as one URL per line, with an optional date after it, so you can sort, filter or dedupe any list.
